Create a New Parent PLUS Pre-Approval and MPN

The Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) Parent PLUS Loan is a fixed rate loan available to an eligible parent of a dependent undergraduate student enrolled in a participating (FFELP) postsecondary school. A Parent PLUS Loan borrower must be creditworthy or must obtain a creditworthy endorser on the loan.

Start your Parent PLUS Loan process by completing an online PLUS Loan Credit Pre-Approval. MOHELA's online credit process provides a credit decision within minutes. Once your credit is approved, you may E-sign a PLUS Master Promissory Note (MPN) online or download a PLUS MPN package to be completed and mailed back to MOHELA.

For returning borrowers, please complete the Parent PLUS Loan Credit Pre-Approval. Our credit decision is valid for six months. If you are applying for a new loan within the six months, it will still be necessary for you to complete the Parent PLUS Loan Credit Pre-Approval form, however, we will not reprocess your Credit.
