Create a New GradPLUS Pre-Approval and MPN

Before applying for a Federal PLUS Loan, a graduate or professional student must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and must have been determined eligible for his or her maximum loan amount under the Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loan Program.

Start your GradPLUS Loan process by completing an online PLUS Loan Credit Pre-Approval. MOHELA's online credit process provides a credit decision within minutes. Once your credit is approved, you may E-sign a PLUS Master Promissory Note (MPN) online or download a PLUS MPN package to be completed and mailed back to MOHELA.

For returning students, please complete the GradPLUS Loan Credit Pre-Approval. Our credit decision is valid for six months. If you are applying for a new loan within the six months, it will still be necessary for you to complete the GRADPLUS Loan Credit Pre-Approval form, however, we will not reprocess your Credit.
